Data Talent Survey

The Data Talent Survey will focus on mission personnel and their ability to understand, visualize, analyze, and present data. This survey supports development of Virginia's data culture.


Description

To identify pools of talent and potential knowledge gaps, the CDO will undertake a data talent survey and IT data skills assessment.

The survey will focus on mission personnel and their ability to understand, visualize, analyze, and present data. This survey supports development of Virginia's data culture.

The CDO's skills assessment will use a human resource perspective with HR partnership to address the commonwealth’s data architecture, data management, and business intelligence capabilities and needs. It is specific to IT personnel and their role in the data management life cycle.

The results of this research will be used to inform the commonwealth's permanent data governance framework.
